Byblos Saint Tropez

For over four decades, the Byblos has been the reigning address in Saint-Tropez. Created as a Mediterranean village in the heart of Saint-Tropez, the Byblos is an oasis of flower-filled gardens and enchanting patios. Rooms are individually decorated to impart tranquility and elegance to all those who visit, in keeping with the spirit of fine Provencal living.

You could do worse for a sexy and chic summer destination than Saint-Tropez, the town that Brigitte Bardot built (or at least put on the jet-setter's map) and in Saintrop, there's no place more deadly fashionable than Le Byblos, an assemblage of bright ochre and baby blue facades, all interconnected yet designed to look like whimsical take on a Mediterranean fishing village.

Inside the courtyard is no rustic town square it's pure luxury resort, with palms and olive trees around the mosaic-tiled swimming pool. Surrounding the courtyard are the mock-cottage rooms and suites, as well as a network of patios and terraces. Rooms are individually designed in a modern Provencal style, with the occasional oddball antique or four-poster bed. All are bright and airy, some more spacious than others, with the jewel in the crown being the new Riviera Suite, directly overlooking the pool.

Only if you are a Caves addict. ♥ Love the hotel, the pool bar and the Caves du Roy! ♥ Go there and check out the "Les Caves du Roy" disco (part of the hotel). Probably the best disco in the world. We go there every year to the eastern-opening-party! Excellent! ♥ Spoon restaurant is very good and tha atmosphere is elegant.the hotel suite was provencal and at the same time equipped with all loewe and modern comfort. The place is simply great and chic. The bar by the pool trendy with youngs still playing backgammon like in the80's.

The local cuisine is, in all likelihood, more than adequate, but many guests don't bother eating out, ever since Alain Ducasse opened the Byblos outpost of his popular Spoon restaurant. This particular Spoon embraces its surroundings, offering a sort of Mediterranean fusion, incorporating Italian, Spanish, and North African influences, and diners eat outdoors, on the terrace, with a view into the glass, walled kitchen and even an aquarium-like wine cellar.

And as for nightlife, the hottest club in Saint-Tropez happens to be the hotel's own Les Caves du Roy, where, incredibly, even the less fashionable hotel guests are turned away at the velvet rope.

Perhaps not everybody's scene, unless you're a frequent celebrity guest, like Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Paris Hilton, Roman Abramovic and others.
