From what was incipiently a clandestine chateau called, "La Coquette" in the 19th century, later in 1929, the exiled King of Naples got control over it and established the Hotel Martinez. If you were to go on a holiday or trip to Cannes, and you would love to experience luxury on a budget, the Hotel Martinez is the place for you. Strategically located on the illustrious La Croisette Promenade, entertainment and excitement is just at close quarters.
The Hotel Martinez has a fusion of unique, modern and classic for their design as you would be able to see the famed lobby covered with marble, with various of arts and crafts decorating the walls and halls artistically. The reception area has a more edgy, modern feel to it and they are uniquely decorated with club leather chairs, brown in colour.
The hotel itself is like a one stop center as it has mostly everything that you need. If you feel like you need to be pampered by relaxing spa treatments, Givenchy, which offers beauty services, massages and cosmetics is on the seventh floor. If you feel like you want to sweat it out, you could hit the hotel's fitness center. The restaurant, adjoining with the lobby plays live piano music, and has a bar is quite popular too. Another great food choice would be the beach club, which offers a lot of delicious meals.

I stayed 4 times in Martinez, and I also travelled around the world, to understand a good service.... still...it's one of the Best Hotels in Cannes, and I had a fantastic time... good service, nice rooms, the Z Plage is my favorite for a lunch. ♥ Classic Hotel, good Spa. Z Plage.. Just love Martinez! ♥ If you can afford a sea view (6th floor is best) order room service on fireworks night and u'll have an experience of a lifetime. ♥ Fantastic Place!
Don't be fooled by the prices, when it comes to rooms, the Hotel Martinez definitely delivers when it comes to facilities and room service. Although most of the room had been renovated to suit the more modern design, it still has that old, antique and classic feel to it, especially to rooms with no view or the standard guess rooms. The standard rooms are decorated by modern artworks, and furnished with maple furniture. The prestige room, the best ones available at the hotel are on the top floor, and they focus on more marine themed artworks and sophisticated arts. You would definitely enjoy and rest well with their comfort, and the room service is definitely world class.
The bathroom would definitely amaze you as it is beautified by marble and the design for the shower and bathtub seems so luxurious. You would find the vintage elevators unique and the ornaments and decorations are very high in artistic value. The room with views are beautifully aligned with the Mediterranean panorama, which is usually an attraction during the Cannes Film Fest

Kid's Club
Children are King at the Hotel Martinez. Not only is accommodation free for under 12's when sharing their parents' room, but there are special children's menus at the Zplage Beach Restaurant, the Relais Martinez as well as Room Service upon request. Infants are catered for too with a selection of baby food together with bottle warmers on request. And when it's time for the parents to take a break, babysitting and the Kid's Club are both available.
The Kid's Club is open during the summer holidays from July to the end of August from 2pm to 6pm. Entry is free but is reserved exclusively to children between 4 and 12 staying at the hotel. They have their own special play area with a variety of activities and games organised under the watchful eye of qualified personnel: play'n'learn, painting, cartoons, face-painting, salt dough models, and more...
