Overview

Photo Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat Close enough, but far away from the brazenness of St. Tropez and the bustles and haste of Monte Carlo, lies the land of billionaires, blue bloods, patricians and aristocrats, basically whoever that is important, called Cap-Ferrat.

From the commotion and chaos in Cannes, the hotel is a dazzling retreat for everyone who wants the solitude, but to be close enough to ride on the action come sun down.

What lies beyond the main town of Saint Jean Cap du Ferrat, lies a majestic presence peeking out of an army of pine trees and super enforced by cameras on each gates, which is The Grand Hotel. Captivating the rich and the famous such as the Russian imperial family, British monarchs, and even artist Pablo Picasso, the hotel was established in 1908 and is still garnered by beautiful gardens and pine forests amongst the 17 acres of the property.

For a place fit for the named, the hotel is strictly guarded by cameras planted every single angle of the hotel as well as entrance guard who only bestow access among those who are on the guest list, the driveway towards the main gates are nicely shaded by the lush greens. Modern and classic architecture varnishes the lobby now, as well as gilded walls with classic ornaments as well as white panels and stylish furniture placed beautifully. The in-house restaurant called Le Cap is now under the wheels of once a one-star Michelin chef who used to work at the Monaco's Hotel Mirabeau, Didier Aniés.

Almost every angle of the Hotel features beautiful panorama of prolific gardens which could be accessed from towering doorways everywhere. Take a ride on a private elevator car that soar above the mountains to a self-indulgent pool terrace, which could also be accessed through beautiful walkways designed lavishly. During the summer season however, locals are allowed access to the pool with a fee of 50-70 Euro.
