1) Provencal pure. Try everything on the menu, go with friends so you can share, family style. Drink their own wine – Chateau Barbeiranne – red, white, rose – no need for fancy stuff – and say hello to the most magical of hosts…

8) It’s a classic. I’ve gone there for about 30 years, i.e. since my parents had to carry me. Consistency, quality of the food and sheer provencal beauty of the place are striking, but I guess the best aspect is how outrageously glamourous it can be, without trying to at all. It’s a place of understated elegance.
