Best place in St.Tropez – nice people, great food
It’s a classic. I’ve gone there for about 30 years, i.e. since my parents had to carry me. Consistency, quality of the food and sheer provencal beauty of the place are striking, but I guess the best aspect is how outrageously glamourous it can be, without trying to at all. It’s a place of understated elegance.

Has become very family… lots of children but still one of my favorite places in the world. The only permanent dock on the beach, so great for lunches when traveling by boat. Food is overall fresh and delicious.

A famous British author once dedicated an entire chapter to the Club 55 and the title of it was “Undress for Lunch”… It is my second home but to al those attentive to service please don’t go there in August as the sheer amount of people make of the whole staff a bunch of zombies on autopilot. (trust me I worked there…)

I used to complain about the food and the boring menu, but must give in to the fact that it is – after all – the consistency of atmosphere and clientel that keeps 55 on the top of the tops as a lunch place on the beach!
Food is consistently fabulous. Best people watching on Pampelonne – Patrice certainly has the recipe for success. Open Christmas, New Years and Easter…book well in advance during summer!

Has unfortunatly lost its edge a long time ago. Food is not what it used to be either. I go back every once in a wile to give them another chance… but it’s quite a shame.
Chilli place to be – excellent service
It depends on what you are looking for.. real hips go to club 55 (but august is a mess!)
