International sporting events.
- Everyone knows that motor sports is one of Monaco's specialty, all thanks to effort from the Monaco Automobile Club.
The alps, one of the roads which had been used since the 1911 was used in January's Rallye Monte-Carlo. Now people from around the world would flock to Monaco to witness the rally car racing. Classic and antique cars made between 1955 and 1977 attracts a lot of tourists to watch the Monte Carlo Historic Rally.
This event is held every May and takes visitors a trip back to the olden days of classic motor racing. The same goes to the Monaco Historic Grand Prix which allows cars made from the 1934 and 179 to participate.
Now everybody knows every year in May, all eyes of the world turns to Monaco for the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix which turns the entire roads of Monaco into a race track. This is one of the biggest and most awaited venue in Formula 1.
Meanwhile, every year in April, the world turns their attention once again to Monaco to watch the Monte Carlo Tennis Masters Series. This international tennis event was first held all the way back in 1897. It is held at the Central Court of the Princes' Court of the Monte Carlo Country Club.
Besides Tennis and motor sports, Monaco is also the home for international shows such as equestrian shows as well as swimming. The equestrian club holds shows at the Monte Carlo International Show, while swimmers have their time sometime around June to compete for the Mare Nostrum trophy at the International Swimming Meeting.
