Hotel Martinez in Cannes: J’adore!

Comments and Advices from our Guest:

  • 1) I also don’t understand why all this bad words….i stayed 4 times in Martinez, and i also travelled around the world, to understand a good service…. still…it’s one of the best hotels in Cannes, and i had a fantastic time… good service, nice rooms, the Z plage is my favorite for a lunch…so, i dont understand all this negativism…
  • First of all, Cannes is in France, don’t forget this, and second off all if you are in Cannes….. Martinez it’s the place to be!!!
about the prices… this is South of France… everything is overrated..
  • Let’s put this way: You are not going to the most modern, trendy hotel in the world. Very classic (which may give some the impression of old) salmon colored rooms – they are either very small or very large – give me the impression of the interior of an old Château.
  • I stayed there last year and am going back this year. Service… well, it’s the french, they are not going to be as focused on pleasing the customers as the thai or the dutch, but they are very friendly, specially after that inicial “ice breaking”. After the second day you may be called by your name as you walk in.
  • Interesting place to meet people, I have to say. The breakfast room is really nice and the view of the Croisette and the waterfront in the background make you not want to leave.
  • I like. It is my second house. Attention if you book a room asked in a whom is renewed. Otherwise asked Suite, one room or a junior suite with terrace. For my part always a suite in the 7th floor with big terrace. sea View of course
  • Nice hotel great location rooms need to be redisgned and add new furniture etc.
  • Great location, of course, but rooms need to be redone. Food was good and I experienced good service.
  • I love Martinez! I Spent there an amazing time, and a great honeymoon! Very beautiful Suite with private terrace (715)…
  • One of the nicest Hotels I ever visited. If you are in Cannes, this is the place to live…
And don’t forget to make a reservation for a sunbed on the pier at Z*Plage, very great Beach Club!
The service is excellent, the stuff is very friendly…. it was the perfect stay! Iwill come back!!!
  • Very stylish suites on the 7th floor… Great Hotel and amazing Beach Club with excellent sercive.
  • J’adore les ricains qui se plaignent du Martinez… Ils n’ont RIEN compris ! C’est The Place to Be pendant le festival !
Ils sont mal reçus car plein de fric mais aucune classe !
    j’espère qu’ils ne reviendront pas ! de tt façon le Martinez n’a pas besoin d’eux ! I love Martinez…
  • The room was OK but not spectacular. the staff on the beach and at the hotel bar were very friendly, unlike what others here seem to have experienced.
  • The rooms on the 6th and 7th floors are incredible. I don’t understand what the awful reviews are for. The service is fantastic, the breakfast is amazing, the pier and beach are amongst the nicest and cleanest on the Croisette and the Givenchy Spa is top quality. Have stayed there year in year out and will continue to do so. Best hotel in Cannes.
  • No no no… Martinez isnt that bad… I understand that most of the rooms are outdated…. but most rooms on the 6th and 7th floor have been remodelled and they are actually really quite good… While i know that it may not always be possible to get the newly remodelled rooms, the service was excellent the 3 times i’ve stayed there and i had a good experience!
  • Granted I stayed at the Martinez the super busy week of august 15th, so it was extremely packed but I don’t think that’s an excuse for the terrible, terrible service there. It is definitely over priced, the rooms need remodelling (it says on the website that they’ve been remodelled – not true, maybe just a few were done).
  • And the absolutely most ridiculous thing is the fact that not only do they charge you for the beach (understandable in some cases) but they also rent beach spots to people that aren’t staying in the hotel – mind you the hotel has over 400 rooms – the loungers at the beach are 100 at most, so they can’t even accomodate all their hotel guests… and on top of it they rent them out to all and sundry… not smart in my opinion!
  • Horrible...Horrible…Horrible! If you’re into spending an exorbitant amount of money to be treated the worst you’ve ever been treated in your life…this is the place for you. The beach restaurant is disgusting, overpriced and you need to set off a nucler bomb to get a waiter’s attention. Rooms are small and antiquated (like the 70′s – not charming). If you do stay here have lunch at the pool not at the beach.
  • Expensive hotel in summer with small rooms, even the suite.
  • The concierge is nice though, it s the least they could do… The service is okay at the beach, but the security guy try to patronize you, they forgot what the word service means…and they forgot to have a brain too, they just have muscles I guess.
  • At the beach, ask for Axel, nice waiter, does a good work on the deck.
  • The pool didn’t work during my stay, wasn’t warned and had no compensation…
  • The Majestic is much better.
  • Rooms need remodeling pretty badly, still it’s probably the best hotel in town (hotel du cap not included), but they really need to not charge €30 per person to enter the hotel pool, that is just RIDICULOUS!
  • Rooms are worse that a USA Marriott. Overrated.
