What to do in Cannes, few advices.

Cannes - one of the most romantic destination in Cote d’Azur - has always something to offer even if, we suggest to arrive from April to October or during the full year if you are a casino’s game fan. Here a small list of the things you can do in Cannes.

Sunning on la Plage de la Croisette.
The Hotel Martinez has a private spot on Cannes’s most coveted beach, la Plage de la Croisette, complete with a strip of carpet extending over the black pebbles to the Mediterranean’s emerald edge – so you don’t have to get your feet burned by the hot rocks as you head to the sea.

Dine With a View.
Book a table for sunset on the outdoor terrace with fantastic breezy sea views at the Michelin-rated La Scena, one of several Hotel Palais Stèphanie restaurants. It specializes in Mediterranean-meets-Japanese cooking. The fresh seafood platters and the prawn risotto are consistently good choices. For a more casual experience, try Le Grand Bleu. The brasserie-style lounge and terrace bar does good pasta and salads, stays open late and has a DJ on summer nights.

Palais de Festivals.
The current home of the Cannes Film Festival - this year from 11 to 22 May 2011 –  Festival Hall, is just a five-minute stroll down La Croisette from most of the best Hotels in Cannes. Although the concrete stage is probably the least glamorous part of Cannes, it’s still worth checking out. Walking the red carpet and posing for a picture on the 22 steps leading up to the cinema’s entrance sounds cheesy, but it’s one of those integral Cannes experiences everyone does once.

Cocktails at the Carlton.
The grand dame of Cannes hotels, the Art Deco Carlton Intercontinental is worth a visit. Twin cupolas were modeled on the breasts of La Belle Otero, a courtesan famous for her multiple royal lovers, including Czar Nicolas II and Britain’s King Edward VII.

People Watching on La Croisette.
Take a stroll down the famous palm-shaded promenade by the sea to soak up Cannes’s hedonistic atmosphere. Sit on one of the well-placed benches on the long walkway, eavesdropping on the conversations of people passing by, scanning the water for the ocean-liner-size yachts parked on its sparkling glass surface.

Enjoy your stay in Cannes.
