2011The boutique Hotel Tiara Yaktsa in Cannes.
It’s all about romance at the 21-room Tiara Yaktsa, which has a secluded hillside spot near a pint-size village on the French Riviera. All the rooms are expansive and subdued, but the main draw is the ever-present view of the beaches below and the yacht-strewn Mediterranean Sea. It’s hard to imagine tiring of lounging by the infinity pool or on a private Balinese-style daybed, but the hotel’s friendly staff can also set up shopping, boating and art-focused excursions.
What we love:
Panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea; Villa-like atmosphere; Balinese-style daybeds in the lush gardens; Rain showers in bathrooms (but no tubs); Kid- and pet-friendly; There’s free parking and WiFi.
